Gameplay

Have you ever wanted a game where you do things, and more things happen? Introducing PORTALHOPPER, a 2D platformer with turn-based RPG battle mechanics. I call it a "PlatPG".

. . .

I'm joking, by the way.

. . .

But that's not all! The game also has crazy, silly, wacky, goofy, haha, funny, lol, rofl characters you can conversate with! On top of that, I made what I actually call a "grid-based combat" system—not the tactical variety, but one where you snap around a 3x3 grid to dodge enemy attacks. You can also do things like... walk... and... jump. Ok, I think I've covered all the gameplay stuff.

Story

Splat, a small squid with no memory of his past, awakens in a fracturing world connected by unstable portals.

Guided by a mysterious voice, he journeys through strange worlds and interdimensional markets in search of a way home. Along the way, Splat encounters powerful beings, ancient machines, and characters tied to a long-forgotten tragedy.
